MENTAL HEALTH WEEK
Anastasia Chinery // Friday 28th April 2017
Mental Health Week (MHW) and Childrens Mental Health Week (CMHW) seem to be stealing the limelight in the news lately as its receives the most attention this year than any before. With powerful influences such as the Royals, media attention for the events taking place has boomed (This reminds us just how how much power endorses can have on our events!).

The events seem to be taking the sky to the limit, with many more poping up around the country than last year and many more people becoming involved due to our celebrity endorsers.
People are ditching your old bake sale and 'wear a funny outfit to work day' for events that are a little bit more exciting and more importantly relevant to the cause! Among many other events, lately I've seen bootcamps to get people moving and feeling better about themselves, a paint party to remind people how lighthearted and fun things can be, and even a tattoo event called 'under your skin' to reduce stigma whilst promoting mental health.

Most importantly this year, we're holding events to raise awareness as well to help those who are affected!
