In the last few years in particular companies have started to notice the importance of experiential marketing across their fields, ditching the old fashion marketing methods and looking for something to really capture their audience's attention!

As companies enhance the experience for their 'fans' they're looking for the newest way to control and engage their audience. Here are the top 3 things that we are seeing a rise of in 2017 and what I'm betting my money on is the new big thing!

1. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Poping up everywhere already without us realising (Amazon Echo, Google etc), we're seeing a rise in Brands understanding the strengths AI can have to connect with their consumer and gather valuable data.

2. Augmented Reality (AR) & Virtual Reality (VR)

We've all seen the power and rapid speed Pokemon Go had last summer when it transformed every reality into a game the whole world was addicted to (75million downloads to be exact!). I don't think it's long before brands start catching onto the power AR has to capture their audience and truly engage them with their brand for a longer term. Apple's wireless earphone and AirPods connected via bluetooth are already setting the exceptions that the internet will reach far beyond our mobiles and integrate into wearable devises.

3. Individualisation 

Consumers are becoming more needy in the sense that they don't just want to know your Brand, they want shared and memorable experiences with real connections! They want meaningful! One major way this will change marking for brand is that events will become the basis for their marketing campaigns rather than just another chapter in the big book. Personalising marketing experiences to truly engage consumers post-event will leave a lasting impression. Immersing consumers in powerfully captivating events is one way to ensure loyalty and trust - I think this is the most important thing for Brands to remember as they move through 2017
